Avengers: Endgame delivers a grand ending to Marvel's magnum opus and satisfies in every epic way
It feels so surreal that after 11 years and 21 films later, we've finally reached the end of Marvel's odyssey that is its' cinematic universe. From the humble beginnings of Tony striking the hot iron on his first suit to the likes of Groot and Doctor Strange joining the fray in an all or nothing battle to end all battles fight against Thanos, Avengers: Endgame brings the entire saga to a magnificent finale. Taking place shortly after the events of Infinity War, we find the surviving Avengers still reeling in from the catastrophic effect of Thano's snap where half of all life on Earth had been wiped from existence. Earth's mightiest heroes gather their remaining resources to go after Thanos and reverse the effects he caused using the Infinity Stones. However, the plan doesn't pan out as they had hope as they learn a devastating revelation in regards to the Infinity Stones and the people they've lost. Right from the get-go, Endgame sets the tone of what to expect and how you shouldn't hold your breath when it comes to expectations, because at any given the moment, much like Thano's snap, anything can change in an instant. Much like Infinity War, Endgame is dark and carries immense emotional weight, even
more so than before and than any other film that preceded it. Same thing goes for the scale, which tops even the last film in terms of action and with a massive cast of heroes, this is most Marvel characters ever assembled for a single film. Without question Marvel is pulling out all the stops and isn't leaving anything out in terms of plot or story; ensuring that our veteran heroes get the proper closures to their own individual arcs as well as open up new paths for the heroes that were introduced into the universe just recently. To put it simply, the film lives up to the subtext of its' title as there are no loose ends and no cliffhanger whatsoever. With the stakes high for our favorite heroes, the intensity of their last mission together is one of the most exhilarating, humoristic, fun-filled and straight up rewarding. The last 20 minutes alone is hands-down one of the

most grandeur and most intense battles EVER put to film, and is another pinnacle in terms of epic comic-book filming. There's so much I want to mention but can't for the sake of avoiding spoilers but this much I will say: every character, every hint, and every moment of foreshadowing from all the films before Endgame come full circle. 11 years is a long wait, not to mention it's a tall order to top in regards of delivering what fans have waited patiently for all these years but the film's directors the Russo brothers have done the impossible and encapsulated the best ending to the story's saga and to an era of comic book films. Avengers: Endgame gets my absolute highest recommendation; it is a beacon of superb film-making, a terrific conclusion that all diehard fans will be satisfied with and now stands as one of the greatest films of all time. Do not miss out because it's not just a movie, it's an event of the lifetime.
