from the laptop of razor: Covid edition
Hello to everyone! Hoping you are all doing well and managing fine with everything happening right now. As we continue to live and adapt to our new quarantined ways, I wanted to take a little time to discuss about where we're at right now and of course give you an update of how I'll be managing the site until the situation changes. To start, as you may have noticed our everyday lives have definitely been re-structured as we adapt to the necessary changes to corner the coronavirus. From social distancing, working from home, to even the way we order our food, one thing is for certain: our lifestyle is moving towards a new direction. While the cases of people having coronavirus continues to climb despite efforts to corner it these past months, the global population is slowly coming together to perform the measures needed to overcome this epidemic. I have good faith that we'll get through this and it'll help us feel more united then ever, with the hope that our lives will return to the norms we once knew. That being said, there are already some changes taking place in regards to the spectrum of entertainment i.e. streaming, movies, tv productions, etc. Below is a few things of what we could possibly expect once the coronavirus pandemic has been dealt with.

Given the current situation between studios delaying releases and others opting to go the streaming route, theater chains are finding more difficulty maintaining their financial structure. Regal Cinema recently closed all their locations again and then there's the looming rumor that AMC will go bankrupt before the year is up. Either way, the outlook doesn't look good and it's hard to say if the chains will even bounce back once the pandemic has been dealt with |
