They say good things come to those who wait, but seriously 14 years was a long wait. Incredibles 2 continues Pixar's creative touch of weaving terrific storytelling as this sequel gets right underway in where we last left our favorite family of supers. After facing off against a villain, the family finds themselves in political limbo again; forcing themselves to once again relocate and conceal their identities. However, an opportunity arises for the family to not only come out of hiding but to change the perspective of how heroes are viewed in society. Incredibles 2 manages to accomplish two feats: the first is being a sequel worthy of the original, and the second is managing to separate itself from the dozens of superhero releases constantly dominated by Marvel and DC. It boasts fantastic, fluid action, spot-on humor and impressive voice-work, three very notable staples of Brad Bird's handiwork when it comes to animation. Case in point, Incredibles 2 is a superb follow-up and another brilliant entry in Pixar's ever-expanding catalog. Let's just hope we don't have to wait another 14 years for another sequel.
