Latest episode of Pokemon hits new milestone
One would think a show such as the likes of Pokemon would start to lose it's steam as well as run low on ideas after being on the air for over 2 decades now. But alas, the series' appeal has continued to succeed as well as bring in new generation of fans even though it's followed the same formulaic pattern since its' inception. Ash Ketchum, the main protagonist of the show, has been all over the world catching pokemon, making friends and getting into many escapades. The one thing the 10 year has never been able to accomplish, what he originally set out to do way back in 1997, is become a Pokemon Master. After 22 years, 22 seasons and over 1,000 episodes later, Ash has at long last accomplished that epic feat. In the current Sun and Moon saga, Ash finally won his first tournament, granting him the title of Pokemon League Champion which officially establishes him the
status as a Pokemon Master. For older fans such as myself who used to follow the show during the earlier seasons, this is a HUGE and not to mention a monumental moment. For those who've watched the show since the very beginning, it has been a known yet unfortunate standard to see Ash compete in these tournaments only to come up short, the furthest he's ever made is into the finals in the Kalos region. For longtime fans, this marks the first true change in the show as it now remains to be seen what is next for Ash or what new direction the show will go in. With many rumors speculating that Ash could be written off the show or that a new character will be taking his place, there's honestly no telling where the series will go from here. One thing that we can now say after so long is that Ash has now become the very best.
